Review - Queensland Registered Lobbyists Code of Conduct
The Office of the Queensland Integrity Commissioner is conducting a review of the Queensland Registered Lobbyists Code of Conduct (Code) and other lobbying matters. The Integrity Commissioner is calling for participation from lobbyists, government and Opposition representatives, and other key stakeholders to help shape the Code’s future and ensure lobbying in Queensland meets public expectations of transparency and integrity.
Why review the Code
The Code sets the standards of conduct for registered lobbyists when communicating with government and Opposition representatives. It has not been substantively amended since 2013. The review aims to seek feedback that will be used to inform:
- changes to the Code, including a new conflicts of interest policy
- the development of training and education about lobbying
- other improvements to lobbying regulation in Queensland.
