
Paxton Booth was appointed to the role of Deputy Integrity Commissioner for a 5 year term commencing on 29 July 2024.
Paxton has had an extensive career working in various regulatory and compliance roles in Queensland.
Prior to taking up his current role as Deputy Integrity Commissioner, Paxton was the Queensland Privacy Commissioner for a period of 2.5 years where he had a keen interest in working with agencies to improve their privacy practices and promoting transparency and accountability in the relation to the handling of personal information.
Paxton also worked in various positions at the Crime and Corruption Commissioner (CCC) for over 11 years, including in the role as Executive Director, Corruption Strategy, Prevention and Legal. In that role Paxton directed a number of prevention strategies at the CCC designed to improve integrity and accountability in the public sector.
Paxton has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, and was admitted as a Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1997. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
